Dave has demonstrated a life-commitment to alliance implementation and learning throughout his 25-year business career. He has hands-on alliance, marketing and sales experience with large, small and start up technology companies.
In his current role at AllianceVista Corporation, one of the top global thought leaders on alliance performance and measurement, Dave serves as Director of Curriculum Development of the Alliance Horizon Division. In that capacity he oversees the company’s learning programs and curriculum for alliance competency. Dave has been a regular presenter of workshops and summit sessions sponsored by the Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals and has conducted numerous radio and press interviews concerning strategic alliances,
Among his career accomplishments, Dave was vice president of Software Products at CyberCash, where he oversaw both product management and product marketing functions for the company’s payment processing software product line, which accounted for 46% of that company’s revenues. Prior to that he was vice president of Marketing at TruePoint, a start up company developing customer relationship management products for the financial industry. In that capacity he managed both marketing and product development functions. At Versatility he served as vice president of Channels and then later of Business Development at that customer relationship management firm. His team was responsible for recruiting key system integrator partners and developing the joint marketing and training/certification programs to ensure their success. He previously held a number of sales and channel management positions at Borland International, and, as Director of Borland Connections, led the team that created, managed and grew that company’s VAR and Developer Partner programs to over 1,850 partner companies within 15 months.
Dave is a senior faculty member at Keller Graduate School of Management where he teaches M.B.A. courses in marketing, channels of distribution, business planning, sales management and finance. He is also a doctoral candidate in Management at Nova Southeastern University, where he is pursuing a field of study focused in the areas of organizational behavior and team process. He is a member of the Academy of Management and the Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
